Peer Review Process
Model of Review The International Journal of Advanced Physics and Astronomy (IJAPA) follows a double-blind peer review process. This means that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential throughout the evaluation process to ensure maximum objectivity.
The Review Procedure:
- Initial Screening: All submitted manuscripts are first checked by the Editorial Office for technical compliance (formatting, scope, and plagiarism detection). Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum criteria or the originality threshold (75%) may be rejected at this stage.
- Expert Evaluation: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and lack of conflict of interest with the authors.
- Reviewer Criteria: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for scientific significance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and the relevance of the references.
- Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept (without changes);
- Minor Revision (the paper is accepted provided the author makes small changes);
- Major Revision (the paper requires significant improvement and may be sent for a second round of review);
- Reject (the paper does not meet the journal’s standards).
Timeline: The journal aims to provide an initial decision within 4–6 weeks of submission. In cases where reviewer opinions conflict, a third expert may be consulted to ensure a fair decision.
