International Journal of Advanced Physics and Astronomy

Special Issue Policy

Overview The International Journal of Advanced Physics and Astronomy (IJAPA) welcomes proposals for Special Issues focusing on significant advancements in frontier areas of physics and astronomy. Special Issues aim to bring together high-quality research on a specific theme, often following a major international conference or a breakthrough in a particular field.

Proposing a Special Issue Proposals for Special Issues should be submitted to the Editorial Office by a Guest Editor. The proposal must include:

  • A clear title and a brief rationale for the importance of the topic.
  • A list of potential contributing authors or the name of the associated conference.
  • A tentative timeline for submission, review, and publication.

Role of the Guest Editor Guest Editors are responsible for inviting authors and managing the preliminary selection of manuscripts. However, they must work closely with the IJAPA Editorial Board to ensure that all submissions align with the journal’s scope and standards.

Peer Review and Quality Control

  • Rigorous Review: All manuscripts submitted for a Special Issue undergo the same double-blind peer-review process as regular submissions.
  • Final Approval: The Guest Editor recommends manuscripts for publication, but the final decision to accept or reject a paper rests with the Editor-in-Chief of IJAPA.
  • Standard Compliance: All articles in Special Issues must adhere to the journal's ethical standards, originality requirements, and formatting guidelines.

Open Access and Fees Special Issues are published under the same Open Access terms as regular issues. There are no publication fees (APCs) for authors or Guest Editors, as the journal remains fully supported by Abai KazNPU.
