Publishing Policy & Ethics
- Ethical Standards and Integrity The International Journal of Advanced Physics and Astronomy (IJAPA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. We follow the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All participants in the publication process — authors, editors, and reviewers — are expected to adhere to these ethical principles.
- Duties of Editors
- Objectivity: Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on their scientific merit, without regard to the authors' race, gender, or institutional affiliation.
- Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the authors and reviewers.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors will recuse themselves from considering manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive or collaborative relationships.
- Duties of Reviewers
- Contribution to Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and helps authors improve their papers.
- Confidentiality: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clearly formulated arguments.
- Duties of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
- Data Integrity: Fabrication or falsification of data is a serious ethical breach.
- Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the study. All authors must approve the final version.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal interests that could influence the results of the research.
- Dealing with Misconduct In cases of suspected misconduct (plagiarism, data manipulation, etc.), the editorial board will follow COPE flowcharts to investigate. If misconduct is proven, the journal reserves the right to reject the manuscript or retract a published article.
