This paper presents a comparative analysis of the performance of IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) wireless Wi-Fi networks in GNU/Linux and Windows 11 environments. The focus is on throughput, data transfer latency, CPU load, and RAM usage. The study was carried out using simulation modeling using identical hardware and radio environment conditions for both operating systems. The obtained results show that the architectural features of network subsystems have a significant impact on connection quality metrics, in particular: GNU/Linux demonstrates higher throughput and lower latency, while Windows 11 has a higher CPU load and RAM consumption. The work has practical significance for choosing an operating system when building highly efficient Wi-Fi networks.
